Bristol’s experimental collective Ishmael Ensemble return with another re-imagined "version" from their highly praised 2nd album 'Visions Of Light'. This time courtesy of producer & vocalist Grove. An artist at the forefront of the Bristol scene with their experimental takes on dancehall, punk & jungle, Grove felt like the perfect collaborator to take on one of the most explosive tracks from the record 'Wax Werk'.

This has become one of the most important albums of my life. It’s essence is indescribable. Every sound from the start of the record through the end is placed delicately and with care. The album cover is by Julie Mehretu. It’s absolutely an incredible release for which I shall be eternally grateful. Aniket

Like so many others, this came like a bolt out of the blue and, even though it's well before payday, I had to have this astonishing album on vinyl to prove it exists. The feel of the tunes makes me feel like the Impressions do, Curtis Mayfield, the big spaces and instinctive horns and stuff drifting in and out. Great grooves and I can see lots of ghosts nodding along to this with big smiles on their faces. At last! Anthony Cottrell
